Tehani is native Tahitian. She has learned English in Laie Hawaii. She has graduated from a Business and Hotel Management at the Southern Cross University in Sydney. Tehani have worked on Superyachts for five years before opening up Tahiti Crew. She loves her culture and her island, she will be happy to give you a memorable experience of your stay in French Polynesia.
Tehani was born and raised in Tahiti. As a young girl nurtured dreams of discovering and connecting with the wider world. After finishing high school, She obtain a scholarship from the Australian government and studied in Sydney graduating in Business and Hotel Management at the Southern Cross University. For the next five years, she worked on superyachts, which transported her to many of the far-flung places that she had imagined visiting as a child.
Eventually, her passion for the Tahitian culture and the beauty of our motu, brought her home to pursue another dream: to give a chance to the native Tahitians who aspired to join the superyacht industry. She began Tahiti Crew as the first crew placement for Superyacht in French Polynesia and started coaching talented locals whose innate seafaring abilities are a natural fit for an ocean-going life.
Tehani has not only placed local crew on Superyachts but also key players in the tourism sector in Tahiti. Her understanding and ability to navigate between the traditional ways of Tahitian life and the fast-paced western world is a key to her success.
In 2012, Seeing a growing demand from visiting vessels for a variety of services, has Tehani expanded her crew recruitment business to be the official partner of the Puddle Jump rally, a rally of about 150 yachts coming to French Polynesia. The diversity of the demands of all kinds of craft and crew voyaging through Polynesia, shaped her business in becoming a concierge services for yachts.
The name and reputations of the company has attracted bigger size boats, requesting a lot more services. Recently she teamed up with her husband Scott McDonald a former Superyacht chef and they open Tropical Serenity, a branch dedicated for Superyachts services only offering exclusive high-end support, covering all and any services for Superyachts visiting and chartering in French Polynesia.
Tehani embodies the beauty and spirit of Tahiti. She sees and believes in the potential of our people and culture and the wonderful experiences our beguiling islands have to offer visitors. Tehani looks forward to welcoming you to the Moana Superyacht Festival 2022.
